The biggest reason is that I’m an artist and I love to paint signs and stationery unique to you. That’s why you are here and not on printed.com. Don’t get me wrong, Adobe has it’s place in my stationery work but I love nothing more than having a paintbrush or pen in my hand and watching my intentional design unfold into your dream vision. Hand lettering is where my business started and it’s a lane I will be staying in as I continue to grow.
Mass-Production is soulless and boring
In a world of soulless mass-production, I love the originality of something hand-painted, designed especially for you. The authenticity of it, the texture, the craftsmanship and the knowledge that love and care has gone into every detail of creating it - from design to finished piece. I believe, there is something really beautiful and special about that. And my gorgeous client’s do too. Is it the cheapest option? No. Is it worth the additional cost and does it look it? Absolutely.
It’s a better environmental choice
My hand-painted signs are kinder to the planet! This is something that is incredibly important to me and is a value I place at the heart of my business. I want to leave our earth in a better state for my girls’ future. Plastic signs and foamboard are not sustainable and often aren’t recyclable and I absolutely despise those vinyl stickers! Cheaper options that negatively impact on the environment will never be part of my offer. The wood that I use is sustainably sourced locally and is recyclable (if you don’t want to proudly display it in your home after your big day). I also use low VOC, water-based paints and organic fabrics to minimise the impact of my work on our planet. My work is designed with intention, to leave an impression not a footprint.
It gives me complete control of the process
I’m a bit of a control freak and so hate out-sourcing. Hand painting my designs allows me to have complete control from design to finished product and guarantees the high quality finishes I pride myself on.
