Sip & Paint Events

For me, sitting painting in a gorgeous pub, catching up with my gals over few glasses of wine is the night of my dreams.

But when I searched, that night wasn’t available. So I decided to create it myself. And what a hit it was!

Throughout the year, I now run seasonal Sip and Paint events in gorgeous venues in Cumbria, open to all, to give you lovelies the chance to get creative as part of your social calendar. These events are very informal, super friendly and most importantly a fun. The fact you take home something gorgeous that YOU made at the end of the night is a bonus.

Private Sip & Paint Events

In addition to my public Sip and Paint events, I also run these events privately for those looking for something a little different for their upcoming Baby Shower or Hen Do.

Rather than, yet another set of wishes for the bride or baby cards, let me do what I do best and provide all the materials you need to create something amazing, your Bride or Mama to Be will genuinely want to keep for years to come.

Learn Modern Calligraphy

Ever fancied learning the art of Modern Calligraphy? Join me for my Introductory Workshop or Beyond Beginners 4-week Course and discover the joy and meditative power of pointed-pen modern calligraphy .

I only run these events twice a year and work with groups of 10 maximum. This is so I can give every one of you, the dedicated 1:1 time and attention you deserve to bring on your calligraphy skills as much as possible during our time together.

Modern Calligraphy Workshop

Suitable for complete beginners, my workshops are a 2 hour long introduction to modern calligraphy where I will teach you the fundamentals of how to us a nib and ink, how to create basic strokes and how to put these together to form beautiful letterforms.

You will leave the workshop with your very own calligraphy kit, including my favourite nib for beginners, a penholder, black Sumi ink and your guide filled with tips and advice, so you can continue your practise at home.

£50 per person

Beyond Beginners Modern Calligraphy Course

Over the course of 4 weeks, I will take you from perfecting your modern calligraphy letterforms, through mastering connections to create balance in your words. I’ll introduce you to flourishing and will teach you how to consider your positioning to create an appealing layout. We will round off our month of together with you creating your very own final project piece which you will design and create in our last session.

You will leave the course with your Beyond Beginners calligraphy kit including your Blue Pumpkin nib, oblique pen-holder, metallic ink pan and black Sumi ink, plus all of your worksheets and guides from the course and, most importantly, your gorgeous, personal, final project piece to gift or display with pride.

£185 per person
